Shipping and Return Policy
Shipping charges and available service will vary based on package weight and country of destination.
Please note that items ship directly from The Bermuda Rum Cake Company Ltd. and it is our discretion to choose whether to ship our items internationally.
Orders can take between 2 – 5 business days to process and be shipped – especially in peak season which is between April and December. Also please be aware in the event of a holiday or weekend our offices are closed so this processing time would not officially be effective until the first business day after. You will be emailed tracking information from the website with tracking for your order. Please allow the allotted amount of time you were quoted for delivery, once your order is dispatched from our location it is then the carrier’s responsibility.
Customs and Duties
General
All applicable customs fees, taxes and duties are the sole responsibility of the customer. Customs authorities require that we state the value of your order directly on your package – the value is the retail cost. The Dockyard Company Ltd. cannot mark any package(s) as a “Gift” in order to avoid customs and duties fees.
Please note that on rare occasions, customs agents may delay the delivery of some packages at their discretion.

Canadian Customers
GST (Goods & Services Tax) and PST (Provincial Sales Tax) vary based on the province to which your order is shipped and on its value. The duty is determined by the value of the merchandise and its place of origin.

Exchange Rates
All prices shown on The Dockyard Company Ltd. (online) are in U.S. dollars. If you need a conversion to your local currency, please refer to yahoo.finance.com or a similar website. Exchange rates change daily, and The Dockyard Company Ltd. is not responsible for any loss incurred as a result of currency fluctuation. Please note that your credit card processor may charge you a conversion rate fee.
Returns
All returns must be postmarked within fourteen (14) days of the purchase date. All items must be in new and unused condition unless the item is defective or damaged (see exceptions below).
Return Process
To return an item please email customer service at info@bermudarumcakes.com to initiate the process. After receiving authorization, place the item(s) securely in its original packaging, and mail your return to the following address:

Return shipping charges will be paid for or reimbursed by us.
Refunds
After receiving your return and inspecting the condition of your item, we will process your return or exchange. Please allow at least three (3) business days from receiving your item to process your return or exchange. We will notify you by email when your return has been processed.
Exceptions
For defective or damaged products please contact us at the customer service number below to arrange refund or exchange.
Please note the all sale items are final and cannot be returned – the cost of shipping is also excluded in any sales, coupon codes, or promotions. Shipping is not discounted.
